Excellent analysis. I remember seeing the ads for Moxie on YouTube a while back, and at that time I found them deeply unsettling. Granted, parents shouldn't expect to be able to handle every aspect of their child's development. But whether close language tutoring - among other things - should be entrusted to a real person, or a robot, is the sort of question that everyone needs to seriously consider.
