As they say, turkeys don’t vote for Christmas. Young people are at the sharp end of AI-driven job losses, hence the backlash. But I’m pretty sure they will also see the benefits in the medium term.
Either way, I don’t see them being able to stop the rocket ship.
(Got to say, putting a data centre in one of the driest states in the US is particularly mad though)
It’s creature versus creature. The wealthy alchemists want to birth a new intelligence they don’t fully understand. The pushback from multiple directions is understandable. But as in the film Don’t Look Up, most of humanity is indifferent, clueless even - of the stakes

The rocketship does seem unstoppable. But I think there's going to be an almighty argument about it.
