🚀 Launching Chief AI Officer
A new AI community for knowledge work and creative professionals
It’s launch day!
In an update here last week, I gave a sneak peak of a project I’ve been incubating in the lab.
Today, it’s time to usher Chief AI Officer into the world. And I couldn’t be more excited.
The vision? To create the world’s leading independent community for knowledge work and creative professionals who are grappling with the AI revolution.
I’m starting with a series of amazing conversations. And I’m super-proud to introduce the first: with David Rowlands, Global Chief AI Officer of KPMG:
When it comes to the AI revolution, David is an inspiring practitioner. Under his guidance, KPMG has been at the forefront of exploring the implications of AI for knowledge work. You’ll hear about:
💥 Why KPMG put AI into the hands of its people via a series of 24 hour immersion sessions. ‘It was super-important to send the message that AI is across all of the different businesses and practices of KPMG, at every region and every level.’
🔮 How David encourages KPMG staff to dream up new applications for AI. ‘Think about the work your team does. Now imagine there is a million of you. What could we achieve?’
🥇The ‘client zero’ approach that lies at the heart of the organisation’s strategy. ‘My advice? The first thing to do is appoint local AI leaders. We did that, and then implemented an approach based on five pillars.’
…and much more!
To watch to the full conversation and subscribe to future updates, head over to Chief AI Officer:
I’m confident you’ll find wisdom and tactics that you can apply as you navigate the AI journey inside your organisation.
Further conversations are coming, with a stellar line up of AI leaders. They include Graham Smith, Head of Data Science and Innovation at Natwest, Mick Costigan, leader of the futures team at Salesforce, and Daniel Hulme, Chief AI Officer at global creative agency WPP.
Beyond that, there’s a big journey ahead.
Expect AI briefings, an online community, and eventually in-person events. You can learn more about all this over at the Chief AI Officer launch note.
Thanks for reading, and be well,
David.
